Welcome to today’s Style Inspiration: The Creative!
Kimba of Kimbalikes is a beauty junkie with a passion for fashion and a zest for fun.
She is a silver lining girl, who loves a hair bow, a bold brow and a non matchy matchy shoe-handbag combo.
Colour makes her happy and print clashing is her jam.
Kimba spills the beans on her outfit:
Colour makes me happy. It’s true.
Even on a grey, miserable day, there’s no need to make yourself feel like the weather.
A pop of colour is the best way to cheer yourself up!
A Pop of Colour
I teamed casual chambray relaxed pants from Forever New with an old and much loved top from H&M, purchased on a UK family trip about 8 years ago.
The pants can easily be dressed down with a simple tank or tee, and dressed up with a sparkly top and cropped blazer.
I’ve steered a course down the middle with this casually styled flamboyantly patterned satin top.
I added some quirky details with Jelly Baby earrings (aren’t they sweet?),
Simple metallic bangles from Samantha Wills.
Mimco hair clip.
Andromeda earrings from The Jewel Collective.
And Gingham T bar sandals from ASOS.
I often field questions about my style and how I put together my outfits.
Pretty much I start with basics.
Instead of adding another basic, choose a colourful or unique piece.
A pair of plain sandals or ballet flats would have worked really well for this outfit.
A plain top would have been fine too.
But by choosing pieces with points of interest, I’ve customised my outfit and made it my own.
