Welcome to today’s Style Inspiration: The Creative!
Kimba of Kimba Likes is a beauty junkie.
She is a silver lining girl, who loves a hair bow, a bold brow and a non matchy matchy shoe-handbag combo.Colour makes her happy and print clashing is her jam.
Kimba spills the beans on her outfit:
Whilst I absolutely adore summer style like vintage inspired sunfrocks and denim cutoffs teamed with floaty tops, there is no doubting that I do love to rock some denim.
A cooler day in Sydney recently enabled me to wear my new Wakee jeans, purchased from Three Parsons boutique.
The perfect summer jeans, they feature a mid to high rise waist and a very stretchy denim fabric that performs a magic trick. It looks like thick denim yet is quite light to wear.
Perfect for cooler summer days and invaluable for trans seasonal dressing.
The Print Tunic
I teamed the jeans with a Three Parsons Tribal Print tunic that can also be worn over a maxi tube skirt, or by itself.
The T shirt styling is very flattering on my EnormoBoob-and-bit-of-a-tummy figure.
The slightly wide shoulders de emphasise the EnormoBoobs and the drapey fabric doesn’t pull over my bust line, yet flows flatteringly.
Nothing worse than a dress or top that just hangs off your boobs, making you look even bigger and wider. Ain’t nobody got time for that!
I accessorised with fun red wooden clog sandals from Sportsgirl, and a turquoise clutch from Mon Purse, monogrammed with my nickname.
Such a fun way to update your style by designing your very own handbag!
Simple sterling silver jewellery from my Usual Suspects teamed with my navy Mimco Sportivo Time Peace and a freshwater pearl Jet Empire bracelet completed my look.
The 50’s Pinup Hairstyle
I spent about 45 minutes (yes, I’m not even joking) trying to roll the front of hair in a 50s pinup style with the help of YouTube tutorials.
Unfortunately, my problem might not just be that my hair is a wee bit short but that I am absolutely unskilled.
Luckily, it takes no skills at all to brush out my curls and twine a few around my fingers for retro cute defined curls. Phew!
