Our Entrepreneur Wendy spills the beans on her outfit:
Christmas, NYE – it’s all happening. And unlike our Northern hemisphere readers, it’s HOT when all this craziness takes place in Sydney.
And in this final week before Christmas, the giddiness of pre-Christmas drinks, lunches, brunches and dinners really started to ramp up.
As an entrepreneur, I spend a lot of time networking. This means standing UP, with a drink in hand.
So my outfit of choice in the silly season has to be:
- light and cool
- loose around the tum so I can have the canapes
- easily worn with stylish flats (so I can stand up all night!)
This midi-length Shakuhachi dress was actually loaned to me by a friend’s daughter (it was all I could do not to steal it off her as she was wearing it!).
She looked stunning in it.
All silk, it’s completely cool and breathable.
With some strong prints and colours, it’s eye catching – and with a side slit slashed all the way up the front thigh, it’s definitely not for the faint-hearted (that’s why I carry a “modesty” clutch at all times)!
I styled this with a vintage, braided belt that I absolutely adore, my $25 faux green leather bag from Zara (available this season) and a pair of blingy, gorgeous sandals from Aldo Australia.
